When I look around and see what is happening, and I have a real fear of the future, I remind myself that while my happiness on earth is never a sure thing, my eternal happiness is – for nothing can wipe my name off the book, or separate me from my eternal home with my Father. While money loses value, and governments may collapse, and freedom can be stolen, and we might lose control over our circumstances – I know my salvation is secure. The price has been paid. And in that I find peace and comfort knowing that I have sufficiently prepared for my future – a future that makes this present life look like a drop in the bucket. And that knowledge allows me to stand at peace in the midst of fear and uncertainty, with a smile on my face. kswanson
